If many were told that they would be paid adequately enough, they would work for God and serve Him with ease. It is quite unfortunate that conversations lately have been about whether we should be paid or not for our service. Instead of paying the price, we want to price our service to the Lord.
 
This book does not argue for or against such desires. Rather, it calls the heart back to the essence of faithful service. God is not primarily seeking hired hands, but devoted servants—men and women willing to be spent for His kingdom.

Pistos Doulos is a call to return to faithfulness, obedience, and wholehearted service to the Master who gave Himself fully for us.
